Notes

Stronger fragrance: Add a few fresh lemon peels or one additional small rosemary sprig. Let the blend simmer for 10 minutes before making another adjustment.
Lighter fragrance: Remove the cinnamon stick, reduce the rosemary, or add 1–2 cups additional water.
Substitutions: Fresh thyme can replace rosemary, while 1–2 thin slices of fresh ginger can replace the cinnamon stick.
Fresh vs. dried: If using dried rosemary instead of fresh, start with about 1 teaspoon and increase only if needed.
Reuse: Cool the mixture promptly, refrigerate it in a covered container, and use it within about 24 hours. Discard it if you notice mold, an unusual odor, or other signs of spoilage.
Slow cooker option: Add the ingredients and water to a small slow cooker and heat on LOW, allowing fragrance to escape once hot. Continue monitoring the water level.
Important: This simmer pot is for home fragrance only. Do not eat, taste, serve, or drink the mixture. Never leave a heated simmer pot unattended, and never allow the pot to boil dry. Keep the pot and hot liquid away from children and pets.
If you have pets and are unsure about a particular ingredient, check with your veterinarian before using it in your home.
